Finally, after a lot of other other shootings and some SecretWars stuff in London town, which I will add later on, I managed to get the pics of the NewYorkCity shoot done. Big up to Matteo, the shoot was good fun – had a good laugh down in Brooklyn. Have a look for the sick stuff

..:: Teck1 Solo Show::..

October 31, 2008

Nice little party at the Reebok Lounge yesterday hosted by Teck1 for his solo show. Went down there, shot some people.

…unfortunately BethnalGreen Council hasn’t paid its electricity bill, so half of the town was dark and the “vna launch” of issue number 7 stopped earlier than expected. Some people at Teck1’s somehow did manage to get their copy early enough.

More of the pics here –

After the three “free-4-wall” exhibitions at thebricklanegallery, the gallery is now hired out for a new show related to spray-paint, again. The hipartgallery features very talented artists, couple of very good pieces. Loads of stencils again, but all pretty detailed and well-done. If you have been at Cans recently, you will know one or two of the artists, however, 95% of the show is new work. Check it out until coming week, as it is a one week only show. (If you intend to buy, be even quicker and call Brice’s private mobile, as quite a lot is already sold…If you cannot make it, I have a little present for you – check it out HERE…

As soon as I find the flyer, I will post a link to the organiser, who hired the gallery.

They say you cannot run with the hare and hunt with the hounds, I still managed to do so, so that after the SecretWars battle at V&A in South Kensington, I got my ass down to the headquarters of RedBull in Soho for the StickerBomb release party. I met Rough (again), who had done a sticker-piece at the HQ. They did a massive amount of free spirits, as long as you ordered them with RedBull *harhar*. Of course, the boyz from ukstreetart have been down as well…very nice venue, cheers for the party RedBull!

The book looks very nice. As written previously, it contains 250 peelable stickers, a lot of Artists have been contributing. I will have to get my own copy to write a bit more…

Monsieur Prou – aka Blek le Rat – has been giving a presentation on his work yesterday at Tate Modern. Rough, one of the biggest UK graff-artists, has been featuring his work as well. Both talks very impressive. Blek is just an amazingly friendly person. Of course I have got a signed copy of his latest book now…

…photos are still on that little memory card…

Edit:

…Blek le rat – in front of a piece by Banksy and Rough…

…Rough infront of his apple notebook -  love the colours…

Not only Gordon and Ken are fighting violence in Britain. I now found a fairly new piece around Shoreditch by an artist, signing with a gothic-font-like lettered “K”. Nice work, dude. (Tek 13 stencil on the left as well).

damn right he is.

Thebricklanegallery is featuring several (street) artists in its free 4 wall exhibition at the moment. Definitely check out the gallery as the owner Tony, has featured a lot of street artists in the past. So if you’re up for some good stuff – or some live graffiti this Sunday – go there! Big up to Tony for the drinks! Some of the stuff hanging on the walls you can watch out below:

Dan Gold from LondonInk by photographil.de

The crew of LondonInk is doing art in a slightly different way to the pics usually featured on this blog, as they are directly injecting their art under your skin. I met Dan Gold, who actually was doing a graffiti @93feeteast last Thursday. The whole thing was about the “teenage kicks 2008″ event in aid of the teenage cancer trust. So big up to Dan that he turned up…A picture of his graffiti will be added later, when I find the time…
