It has been a massive night in East London – the grandest final ever. 1200 people came and rocked the Village Underground until the morning hours…

Our men of town, REEPS1 and HICKS, came down to fight with their weapons of choice – paintmarkers vs. brushes…eddings vs. old skool animal hair…well done, both of ‘em…Get the whole impressions here!

Get the whole lot here!

Hicks vs. Reeps – more of the stuff will be put online soon.

Check out the gallery for more from the two finalists here

Get down with the boys tomorrow in the dodgy east end of London! 9 minutes walking distance from good old Liverpool Street Underground the two finalists REEPS and HICKS wil do the finest battle over 90 minutes – just armed with black paint supplied by grandest colour toys producer edding…

Get down early!

As written previously, I’ve been shooting at the Havana Club 100 Minutes Party at the Village Underground, where the Monorex crew battled the Intercity boyz. Graff vs. Gallery I’d say. Big contrast in styles, pretty cool idea…Check out some more pics on the usual suspect blogs

Or have a look in my very own gallery – CLICK HERE….

Monorex vs. Intercity boyz at Havana 100 Minutes Party. First time in colours, guys! The biggest wall every painted! Ever. In colour, did I mention that? Colour, mates! More pics to come soon….

There is no wild wild west around London when it comes to graff…however, there’s a little spot of happiness around. Near Portobello Market, underneath the westbourne groove highway and the tube-rails, next to the skater park you can find a bit of colours in aerosole…

Check it out…

..::Hamburg Street Art::..

February 28, 2009

I came across something pretty weird but stunning when I jetted to Hamburg, Germany, last week. Something which would never exist in London town. Something no one could imagine, who is familiar with the street art scene in LDN. I came across an open-air street art gallery. (And the people close to the London art scene know, that if an artist puts some piece on the streets it will be nicked even before the wheat paste dried, the last screw is put in to fix it or the piece even appeared on any kind of street art blog…well…Anyway, here are some impressions of Hamburg’s first open-air street art gallery hosted by “die Kupferdiebe”. Most of the stuff is screwed to the wall – normal screws, no further fixation. Seems the Collectors-hype hasn’t reached Hamburg so far.

Here you go…
